Meet Dr. Robert Vagners

My road to Optometry began by chance. A friend of mine was going to study Optometry at the University of Waterloo and suggested that I come along. I was accepted into the program and the rest is history!

After receiving my Doctor of Optometry in 1983, I associated with one of the giants of our profession, Dr. Marvin Langer, from whom I learned so much. Driven to practice on my own, I took over Dr. John Graham’s practice after his retirement in 1985. I have been working and volunteering in the North Toronto/Cricket Club community ever since.  Outside of my practise, I sit on the Board of the Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre. I am an avid Toronto sports fan, enjoy gardening and spending time at the cottage with my wife and two children.

Known as Dr. Bob to many, my family friendly approach extends to the care of my patients. Discussing the latest cocktail trends, automotive therapy, bonding over cooking recipes or catching up on your life allows me to build lasting relationships. I enjoy helping you see your best with eyeglasses or contact lenses as well as monitoring your eye health. With 40 years of clinical experience, you know who you can trust with your eye health.

I am dedicated to excellence in your experience with Optometry.
